Puente Bizkaia and Montes de Hierro Greenway united by their mining and industrial past

The management of the Bizkaia Bridge and Enkarterrialde have signed a collaboration agreement to promote information about the mining railway route and the Bizkaia ferry.

The Enkarterrialde rural development association and Bizkaia Bridge have signed a collaboration agreement to raise the profile of the Bizkaia ferry and the Montes de Hierro Greenway. The agreement includes providing spaces to disseminate and promote the two resources and perform promotional activities and aims to recover the mining and industrial heritage of the two regions, which have a shared history and past.

The terms of the agreement were announced at a ceremony held on one of the terraces of the Bizkaia Bridge at the Portugalete entrance and attended by the Bizkaia Bridge Director, Marta Uriarte, the president of Enkarterrialde and mayoress of Galdames, Raquel Larruskain, mayors and councillors from the municipalities crossed by the Greenway as it passes through Enkarterri and Meatzaldea: Muskiz, Abanto Zierbena, Sopuerta and Artzentales.
