Flamenco and iron: two heritages brought together by humanity

In October 2018, as part of the European Heritage Days and under the slogan “Heritage, Women’s Inheritance”, the Bizkaia bridge hosted the first flamenco festival in honour of Gypsy women’s creativity and soul.

These two pieces of world heritage came together for the first time, also highlighting women’s role in passing on their cultural legacy. The initiative was complemented by a photographic exhibition on “Women and the Bridge”.
